What Do You Do?

There are times when you are at a fork in life. You are unsure what path to take, which way would it be the right way. Do I have the strength to walk on it? Or should I follow what other's experience tells me? According to me, there is no such thing is choosing a path. Which means there was never that fork in the path. Most of the times, we all try to make things way too complex than what we can handle. So many times we are doing things the right way, and then suddenly, whoosh! There comes a wave that turns around everything! The sign board that read " right path towards your -> " suddenly turns around with this wind to now read "right path towards you <- ". What is this wind that makes us confuse with our own decisions? Its nothing but a brain trick. Actually, we always have a second chance to walk on the other path, until it's a question of life and death, which usually isn't! What i think is we must keep on walking on the path we were earlier walking on, and note down what other options we came across in life. And when everything is done and we have reached our destination, we can always analyse the other options and then decide if it would be viable and sensible to walk on that path back again. If heart and brain both speak the same words then go for it, otherwise go for what your heart speaks. Why heart and not brain? Because brain decides something for us only with a small *conditions apply. And that condition is you won't be able to have peace within. Just look back till now, and pen down the decisions you took from brain. Were they not hard to take? Were you a peace after taking it? Did you not rethink over a million times to do what brain said? But what heart does is removes this heavy feeling in chest. Once decision taken, it will never bless you with tensions. And another reason for listening o heart at this point is you have already achieved what you wanted. Now you are just walking back down on your path, looking for any de-tour, if it was possible! So there you go! There wasn't really a fork pricking you to decide either once of the walks that you'd remember! There is always a second chance. There is no need to take things with too much pressure! Just keep walking, reach your destination and then fondle with the other options you came across! Would like to quote Chetan Bhagat's words @Symbiosis University sometime back : " Life is not meant to be taken seriously as our existence is merely a temporary business. So dont be serious, but sincere! " Take care all and have a great time ahead! :)
Would be happy to receive reactions!

"B.Tech admissions" - Moment of Life and Death for Engineers!

Finally I got through ONE engineering college! It was 1 am when I received a call from my girlfriend, " PRABHAAAAASSS!!! You got through Jamia!!! " I couldn't believe what she said! After 5 months of failure, could there be a moment of joy? Finally? I quickly closed all my tabs from Facebook and other " not-so-important-stuff" and typed www.jamiahamdard.edu to check out if I had really made it! And there it was! Roll number 18879! That 5-digit number was me! I got through an engineering college. I scrolled down only to realize that not only did I make it into an engineering college, but also got the subjects of my choice that too in Delhi as well! Suddenly the sun started shining upon me at 1 in the night!
First thing I did? Again logged on to my Facebook page and sent a notification to all my friends about my moment of success! After that I dialled my uncle's number, waking him up from his slumber and crying out loud " Chacha! I did it! I got through Jamia! I am going to be an engineer! "
Finally I realized that I hadn't told my parents yet! The next thing I remember is my whole family up by 1:45 am in the night, with big bright smiles upon their faces! Tiwari's had finally produced an engineer! First engineer! Boy! What a proud feeling that was! Adrenaline rushed all over me, and mind stopped working! I took out my cell phone, dialled a 10-digit number and cried, " yes! yes! yes!! Yes I did it! And I love you a lot! Your boyfriend is not going out of Delhi anymore and 4 years later, this boy would be an engineer! ". Yes! That was my girlfriend. But what I realized on turning around was the faces of my parents!! Did I just used the 3 letter sentence in front of them? I really did!
But that did not seem to be a matter to anyone!
Another middle class family lit up at 2 am to figure out that after 4 years, their lives would be changed! An engineer would come out of the womb of a nationally credited A-grade university from Delhi itself! Everything was too small in front of that, even ILY!
Today when my father and mother meet one of their colleagues or old friends, their chest proudly swell to speak out " humara beta engineering kar raha hai! Jamia se! " ( Our son is pursuing his engineering from Jamia! ). And that is the moment I tell myself, "yes, i was no fool! I did make my parents proud finally. After series of failures in IIT AIEEE GGSIPU JMI, my time did come at last! "
For any aspiring engineer, the day of his call at an engineering college is the best day of his life ( or should I say best night in my case! )
Love you papa, mummy and P for being there and supporting me. For believing in me!
Take care all! Signing out! B'bye!

Indian Democracy In Danger?

Censorship over Social networking sites, no justice to 26/11 perpetrators, Bhopal gas tragedy still rubbing salts over wounds, movement against Government's corrupt practices and witty proposals to remove it, movements against FDI and the black money at the Swiss banks. And if that was not all, then to top it came the proofs of the entire government, up till the PM office being employed in the 2-G spectrum facade. Then the Mullaperiyar dam controversy within its own states.
Today morning a common man, ex-soldier, stood up against the entire system at Jantar Mantar to fire yet another movement against corruption.
All these events are now proving to be an earthquake over the hereditary government of the Gandhi-Nehru family, weakening its very structures. With each passing day, the Indian government is losing its grip over stability, sanity and getting fiercer and even more stubborn. Where is the nation heading towards with these situations is a prime question. Indian democracy, considered as the largest in the world, is now even the world's weakest and most corrupt one as well.
Speculations are being made that there might be chances of a no-confidence vote against the government. Immature  fall of the UPA government seems likely.
However that's not it! Recently I heard another twitty tweet that the virtual PM, controller of Mr.Manmohan Singh, was planning to follow the steps of her mother-in-law. Straight to the point? There might be chances of another Emergency state in India.
Does this mean we are about to move 10-15 years back again? Does it mean the largest democracy is about to fall down now?
While its all in the girth of time, it might be a better idea for the Indian population to start thinking, start  growing up. Take their decisions after thinking. Voting is not just pressing a random button and getting a free nail paint. If we want our rights, we must be responsible for our duties as well.
Take care!
Think and do comment, as I always say!
Ciao! :)

Age Of Music!

What do you see the difference between all these years in yourself?
From a single teeth to a grown person with 32 teeth?
From those weak little fingers to palm as big to hold some other baby's little fingers?
Or perhaps tight belly to a huge paunch there, full of  McDonald's and Domino's! :D
But we often miss a small yet huge part of our growing up. Yes yes, you smarty pants, you read the title! Its music! We never realize that with each passing birthday celebrations, we tend to grow up with the kind of music we prefer listening. However this change is so subtle that we often do not realize it! Its like last month you cut your hair, and without any notice they are back to same length again!
Remember what music we used to hear when we just started comprehending stuff? "Rudolph the red-nosed rain-deer" ! Even "Jack and Jill " .. Yes these were the nursery rhymes at that time, but they were still music to our ears! Who realized that time that these tunes were supposed to teach us something?
Winds changed, we grew up and so did the music!
From "a, b,c, d ... " we grew up to Hindi tracks like "lalla lalla lori" "nanna munna rahi hun" and so on..
Yet few more birthdays and the tracks changed to the Bollywood soundtracks! "Tum toh thehre pardesi" was a hit a remember when I was about 8-year-old.
You enter your teens. There you find friends talking about  "Numb - by LP " . First thing you did was reach home, and search for a download ( of course not a legal copy! :P  )
And you downloaded the track. You put on the play button, and all you understood was...[long pause for the effects!]...NOTHING!
Yes! All you understand from those metal songs is nothing! Roaring, growling, rapping few words which you never catch without using some lyrics providing sites. BUT! You don't stop listening to LP. Why? Because yet again your music grew. It never mattered if you understood a word in the heavy tracks, but it was the new thing in! Guess what? Peer pressure also introduces to new music! It's not that bad after all!
Seasons changed, and the school time love-of-your-life appeared in front of you! And suddenly your ears got irritated at the rash hard death metal they were accustomed to all their teenage! From thin air, "When you say nothing at all - Ronan Keating " played! And yes, again the music grew mature-rer ( if that is a word in English)! For the first six or seven months, all your iPod played was tracks from all the Keatings and Enriques and Blues and the GooGoo Dolls!
Then things start getting usual! You get casual with your girlfriend and the new feeling is no more. By the time you have reached 18 years or so. Rapping, in the terms of music! The next thing in for your earphones! Loud base, fast words, swinging tunes that make you beat-box yourself! iPods are then updated with Ludacris, Snoop Dogg and Eminem!
Another few years and the old age starts for the music!
The ears lose their strength to heavy music. The heart is no longer flowing along with "When you look me in the eyes - Jonas Bros " . Brain ain't able to beat with the hip-hop!
Guess what now? Times for classics! Mozart  walks out of grave and enters your music system and the Daily Times in your hands on the rocking chair...
Music grew up with you! But it never dies... It stays with the generations yet to come. To accompany them and walk them through the lanes of life!
"After silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music. "
Aldous Huxley
Okay! Now I gotta go for my lunch!
See you guys!
Take care and stay musical!
Comments please :) And do follow me! Right side bottom button would take care of you!
